In 2019 Jackie closed the gap on Labour in Gorton and Abbey Hey by 473 votes, putting her in a clear second place in a seat that Labour has started to take for granted again.
Gorton and Abbey Hey is ignored by a council where one more Labour voice added to a chorus of 92 Labour councillors makes no difference at all.
